Coop Reports

The North Pacific fisheries have several sectors that have the option of developing fishing cooperatives. These cooperative options exist in the American Fisheries Act sector, Central Gulf of Alaska Rockfish sector, the Amendment 80 sector, and the BSAI Crab Rationalization Program.  As part of these cooperative programs, the Council requests the submission of annual reports. These reports are intended to be a resource for the Council to track the effectiveness of the cooperative and their ability to meet the Council’s goals. Additionally, they are a tool for the cooperatives to provide feedback on the programs. In general, cooperative reports are presented by cooperative managers during the April Council meeting. For an overview of mandatory and voluntary elements of the different cooperative reports, please see a December 2013 discussion paper. Staff contact is Sarah Marrinan 907-271-2814.
