The Council is hosting a webinar meeting for the presentation of the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the BSAI Halibut abundance-based management (ABM) prohibited species catch limits. The purpose of the webinar is to provide the public with an understanding of the contents of the analysis and provide an opportunity for clarifying questions with the analysts. This will provide the public with a greater understanding of the analysis and help facilitate informed written public comments to the Council prior to the written comment deadline for the October Council meeting. The webinar will be hosted at the Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Seattle, WA on September 20th, 2019 from 9 am-1 pm PST. Analysts will provide a presentation on the analysis, which will be broadcast on https://npfmc.adobeconnect.com/abm. Following the presentation, there will be a question and answer period via online submissions of questions through email, Adobe Connect, as well as in-person for public attending the meeting. The meeting will be moderated to ensure equal access for questions from attendees online as well as in person. This analysis is scheduled for initial review by the Council at the October 2019 Council meeting. For further information please contact Diana Stram at diana.stram@noaa.gov. Electronic AGENDA here.
